This was my fifth figure in this scale (~120mm) that I scultped from scratch. The figure is primarily Sculpty on a wire armature. The flamethrower tanks are thin-walled brass tubing with Sculpty forming the rounded ends. The base (not visible) is covered with real black sand from Hawaii (I wouldn't do this again, it is badly out of scale). The figure is painted with acrylic paints were shaded and highlighted with oils. The background is a B/W photo taken on Iwo Jima.
