Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center
Hutchinson, KS

Located about 30 minutes from Wichita, the Cosmosphere is prehaps best known for its world-class spacecraft restoration team, which has recently restored Gus Grissom's Liberty Bell 7 Mercury capsule as well as the Command Module of Apollo 13. While this is an air and space museum, it includes many exhibits of a military nature, including artifacts from the German "super weapons" programs like the V-2 and Me-163 rocket-driven interceptor, and relics of the Cold War.
